I can't believe it has arrived. Six hours ago I was boarding a plane at PDX and now I'm sitting on some floor in the Newark Liberty airport. We are halfway through our flights and somehow I still expect to wake up in my bed in Hillsboro, Oregon from some magnificent dream.

It amazes me how my fears and anxieties have been overtaken by an impenetrable sense of enthusiasm and anticipation for the journey ahead. In just a matter of hours I will be with two of my amazing friends in Lisbon, Portugal warmly greeted by a plethora of strangers collected from the many corners of the globe. The reality of it hasn't hit me yet...but I'll be sure to let you know when it does ;)
